If the pet has a Ramble tag, scan the QR on the back with your phone camera. Their page opens and you can message their family straight away. No app needed.

QR won't scan?

  1. 1. Give the tag a wipeMud, rain and drool can hide the QR. A quick wipe on your sleeve usually does it.
  2. 2. Find good lightStep out of the shade, or switch on your phone torch.
  3. 3. Hold it 10-20cm awayPoint your camera straight at the back of the tag and wait a second for the link to pop up.
  4. 4. Try another phone or Google LensSome older cameras struggle. Another phone, or the free Google Lens app, normally works.

No tag, or still not working?

Take the pet to any vet. They can check for a microchip for free and contact the owner. If you can't get to a vet, your local council's dog warden can help too.
